Single treatment, treatment series or long-term care?
Some things are done in one appointment. Some need a course of several sessions because nail, skin and immune system take time. And some feet are best looked after when somebody checks regularly. This page sorts the three forms, shows our treatment series with intervals and costs, and the path from the first visit to long-term care.
The short answer.
Hottinger Podologie distinguishes three forms of treatment: the single treatment for a one-off concern, the treatment series for courses that need several sessions at a fixed interval (nail fungus laser, Swift, nail brace, scars, HEALITE II), and long-term care with Podiatry Care and Nail Longevity. All three are billed per session according to the price list, with no packages and no advance payment.
Our treatment series at a glance.
- Nail fungus laser FOX 1064 nm: several sessions depending on findings, 3 to 6 weeks apart, CHF 150 per session plus podiatric preparation; afterwards a check about every 3 months until the nail has grown out healthy (12 to 18 months), with a photo series.
- Swift wart therapy: usually 3 to 4 sessions about 4 weeks apart, from CHF 120; check 4 to 6 weeks after the last session.
- Nail brace (orthonyxia): fitting, then checks every few weeks over months; brace CHF 75 to 145; follow-up of nail growth, transition to Nail Longevity.
- Scar treatment at the foot: usually 3 to 5 sessions about 4 weeks apart, from CHF 100; silicone and home care, check after 3 months.
- HEALITE II light therapy: usually 6 to 10 sessions, 2 to 3 per week, from CHF 90; aftercare as needed.
- Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation: usually 3 to 5 sessions about 4 weeks apart, prices as per villa-zeltweg.ch, at Villa Zeltweg in the same building.
- Complementary medical consultation: first consultation, then follow-up after 8 to 12 weeks, CHF 180 per hour.
Guide values from manufacturer information, literature and our experience. Number and interval are set according to findings and adjusted during the course. Self-pay services; some supplementary insurance plans contribute, depending on your policy.

Why a series is more than several single appointments.
A series follows biology. The nail grows one millimetre a month, the immune system needs weeks to respond to the Swift impulses, tissue heals in stages, and a brace only guides the nail into a healthy shape if it is checked and re-tensioned regularly. The fixed interval is therefore not a sales argument but part of the effect. Every series begins with findings and ends with a check; if the goal is reached earlier or another path proves better, we say so, and you only pay for the sessions that take place. A specific outcome cannot be guaranteed.
