The principle
Hygiene is not an optional extra with us, and not an advertising phrase, but a way of working without exception: After every treatment each instrument goes through the complete reprocessing cycle, and what can only be used once is only used once. You do not have to take this on trust, you may check it: the sealed packaging of your instruments is opened only before your eyes, and those who work carefully are glad to show it.
Melag Vacuclave 550 · Class B
Sterilisation happens in the Melag Vacuclave 550, a current class B steam steriliser. That is the procedure surgery and dentistry also rely on: a fractionated vacuum draws the air completely out of chamber and instruments, then saturated steam at 134 degrees penetrates even hollow spaces and wrapped goods. Colour indicators on every package confirm the completed cycle.
The single-use items
Scalpel blades and comparable items are single-use material with us: used once, then properly disposed of. A blade that has already touched another foot never comes near yours, it is as simple as that.
The journey of the instruments
What is not single-use goes on an eight-stage journey after every treatment: pre-cleaning, ultrasonic bath, disinfection, rinsing and drying, inspection, sealed packaging, steam sterilisation, documentation and dust-protected rest. Only then does an instrument return to the treatment room.
The documentation
Care does not end at the instrument. Photo documentation is standard with us: the initial findings and the stages of a course of treatment are recorded, clearly and traceably. So progress becomes visible rather than merely claimed, especially in tests of patience such as nail fungus, and on request we look at the pictures together.
